The Champions of Health awards recognize those who make a difference in the health of Oklahomans. Winners in select categories will receive $5,000 for their organization or program, and will be considered for the highest honor, the Dr. Rodney Huey Memorial Champion of Oklahoma Health award along with a $15,000 contribution. Winners will be announced at the 2015 Champions of Health Gala in September. To nominate, go to championsofhealth.org. All nominations must be submitted by Thursday, May 28 and there is no cost to enter.

It will be at the Champion Park on 10th & Chestnut. The sponsors of the event include: Austin Box "12" Foundation, Jim Huston Memorial, United Way, Great Salt Plains Health Center, Rural Health Care Projects, OG&E, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Enid Police Department PreventionWorkz and the Garfield County Drug and Alcohol Coalition. This event will include a Prescription Drug Take Back Event, Free food and community resources. Fun for all ages! Family+Friends+Fun!
