28th Annual Billings Wheat Country Festival

ENID NATIVE KYLE DILLINGHAM TO PERFORM AT BILLINGS WHEAT FESTIVAL SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8TH World-renowned fiddle sensation and Oklahoma’s Music Ambassador, Kyle Dillingham will headline the 28th annual Billings Wheat Country Festival October 8th. Dillingham, an Enid native, has performed his magic in over 30 countries electrifying and energizing his audiences around the world. Other performers for the event will be the Northern Oklahoma College Roustabouts Singing Group, Brittney Buckendorf, Dayla Cinnamon-Canaday, and Dan Dickenson. Oklahoma City Thunder Fans will be excited to know the Thunder Girls are scheduled to be in attendance at the Festival for an autograph and photo session from 11:00am – 12:00pm. Other Plans for the Festival event include an antique tractor and auto parade, hay bale decorating contest, pumpkin decorating contest, quilt display, pie and cake auction, horse and wagon rides, food concessions, and many other fun activities throughout the day. There will be 30+ craft vendors in the Billings Community Center and live stage entertainment on Main Street from 9am-3pm. ADMISSION TO THE EVENT IS FREE! Food, drink, and craft items will be available for purchase throughout the day. The Henry Bellmon Library and Renfrow-Miller Museums will be open for free tours with homemade bread and sand plum jelly available for purchase. Northern Oklahoma College – press release Public Information Office P O Box 310, Tonkawa, OK 74653-0310 Telephone: 580.628.6444, Fax: 580.628.6303, Email: bill.johnson@noc.edu, Website: www.noc.edu For immediate release, September 14, 2016 NOC Enid entrepreneurship simulation competition begins Sept. 28 Northern Oklahoma College Enid and the Enid Entrepreneur Leadership Series will sponsor an entrepreneurship simulation competition open to anyone with an interest in practicing their business entrepreneurship skills beginning with an orientation session from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28. The orientation session and seven more sessions will be held at NOC Enid in Zollars, room 301. The seven meeting dates are: Oct. 5, 12, 19 and 26; and Nov. 2, 9 and 16; and will all be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Participants must attend at least six of the eight sessions to be eligible for prizes. Final results will be announced during an awards reception scheduled for Nov. 22. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top four teams. First place will receive $1500, second place $1,000, third $750 and fourth $250. Participants may come as a team, up to four people, or as an individual to be assigned to a team. Total participation will be limited to 30 people. Each week the team members must agree on various decisions about their business, pricing, production, marketing, etc., and input those decisions into simulation software with the results and team standings calculated weekly.
