Be Smart-Don’t Start Anti-Tobacco Day
From 8:00AM to 3:00PM
Visitors to Science Museum Oklahoma on May 12 will receive free admission courtesy of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma. This anti-tobacco event will teach kids about the dangers of tobacco use and encourage them to make healthy life choices. Blaze the Braggin’ Blue Dragon, the BCBSOK mascot, will be present, as well as several Be Smart-Don't Start partners. We hope to see you there!
Champions of Health Nominations
The Champions of Health awards recognize those who make a difference in the health of Oklahomans. Winners in select categories will receive $5,000 for their organization or program, and will be considered for the highest honor, the Dr. Rodney L. Huey Memorial Champion of Oklahoma Health award along with a $15,000 contribution. Winners will be announced at the 2017 Champions of Health Gala in September. To nominate, go to championsofhealth.org. The nomination period begins Wednesday, April 26, and all nominations must be submitted by Friday, May 26 and there is no cost to enter.
