Oklahoma's Country Weekends

Clayton Nolen

“I’ve always believed in helping people. I’ve always believed I could help somebody — not for payment, not for reward. If I could help somebody, I’d always think, ‘Why not?’ If there’s a way to find a better quality of life for people, I want to be part of it.” That is Clayton Nolen in a nut shell. Clayton orchestrates the KOFM Gospel Show every Sunday morning on Oklahoma's Country KOFM.

That desire to help others led Nolen to be active in community activities as well. He served on the Enid Higher Education Trustee Board, African American Male State Task Force, Minority Recruitment Council for the Oklahoma State Department of Education, State Juvenile Task Force, Oklahoma Teacher Certification Test Bias Review Committee, Oklahoma Education Association, Enid Education Association, Black Higher Education Association, Enid AM AMBUCS, served as president of the Oklahoma Adult Basic Education Association, spent 14 years as a recruiter of minority teachers for EPS, two years as chairman of the Enid Police Commission, four years as Ward 3 Enid City Commissioner, was mayor pro tem for six months, and spent three years as chairman of the Enid Community Block Grant committee. Nolen is founder of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission for the city of Enid.

Thanks for listening to the KOFM Gospel Show!
